CRK Grease versus teflon lube

I just got a non damascus sebenza with a little Rust Inhibiting Grease included from a dealer.

Does anyone use the RIG instead of the teflon lube?

TIA

Dave, I got one of those with my Unique Graphic Sebbie with a blued spryograph damascus blade and I used it once. I got a small tin of Ren Wax at a knife show and have used that on all my display knives. I have used the free sample of Militec grease on pivot of my regular Sebbie and it worked like a charm.

At one point I used the CRK lube exclusively and liked the results. With that said I now use Miltec and love the results I get with it. I also use the Ren wax on my woodies and it really makes the wood standout, especially the curly maple.

Not much in way of an answer Dave, just some observations. :)

I've used Rem oil and Militec as well as the CRK flourinated grease. All work fine.

I use abu garcia non toxic reel lube and it works great. I use my sebbie to cut food sometimes and the fact that its non toxic makes it safer to use around food.

The RIG (Rust Inhibiting Grease) is provided by CRK for application to the damascus blade knives. It is an excellent long term corrosion/rust protector for knives and firearms.

The lubrication for the pivot and ball dedent is not the same application, this requires CRK grease or equivalent, the Mil-Tec also works great for many people.

Regards,
FK
