Yes, I got the Kuksa from a German buddy, use it A LOT! For water during the day and Jack Daniels in the evening.

My photo equipment for the trip (for most of shots) was Panasonic G3 and Olympus 9-18 lens. The Sebenza and compass was shot with D700 & 50/1.4. This summer I used G3 for 90% of my shots :)

I always look forward to your threads with great pictures! There are striking similarities to your forests here in SW Virginia. We're definitely a bit more deciduous, but there is a haunting beauty to our forests that you have captured in your pictures of yours.

I've often wondered about the critters you have as well. I used to be TERRIFIED of spiders until living here. Now, I trap black widows, brown recluses, and humongous wood spiders around my house and relocate and free them when I can.

Funny how things can change, how people can change.
