CRK Inkosi question

Are you talking about the dimple on the spine, or the choil? The choil serves a practical purpose, since it allows you to sharpen the entire cutting edge without creating a beard. The dimple on the spine doesn't appear to have a real practical purpose, but design-wise it makes the transition from rounded spine to squared jimping less jarring and awkward.

Are we talking about the cutout behind the crowned spine?

Or the choil?

If we’re talking about the choil, it looks the same on a sebbie. If its the cutout, some say it for the crowned spine when machining or to strike a flint.

Its purpose is to annoy knife enthusiasts. It cant possibly be for any other reason. Just like the hole in the show side scale on the Sebenza 21 and the fact that the lockbar is still blasted on models with inlays and satin finished scales. :)

I don't know the answer but I really like this dimple, especially on a small inkosi - it makes a small blade to look "busier".
