I figured that would catch your eye!

What flipper comes closest to a flipper version of a CRK Insingo?

The most important feature I want is to have that slightly sharp back of blade, to be able to open packages with the back of the blade. I’m indifferent if it’s a clip, drop, or Sheepsfoot blade style.

Basic specs I’m looking for:

Blade under 4” (min of 3.5”)
Premium steel (m390 ideal)
Titanium frame lock
Flipper
Must be able to use back of blade to open taped packages
High end construction/materials
USA made

Thanks!

I bought a Natrix when they first came out a couple of years ago. I cut one piece of cardboard and the stop pin popped out, rendering the knife useless.

I would never compare a Kershaw to a CRK in a positive way.

the only flipper knife I own that I could in good conscious say would be on the same level with an CRK Insingo would be a Hinderer XM-18 3.5" Sheepsfoot ... if you get the Skinny version I actually give the slight edge to the XM-18 Sheepsfoot in cutting ... have not carried a Hinderer nearly as long as a CRK ... time will tell on that ... but will be hard to beat the build of a CRK ... I'll be impressed if years down the road the XM-18 matches expectations of a CRK.

Quality aside the blade shape and size are remarkable though.

My Natrix had ridiculous lockstick so much I needed to bend the lock bar out. Both make for great edcs though. The little Insingo is probably my favorite edc at the moment.

Yes, quality aside.

Another couple of good USA made choices are the ZT0801, ZT0808, ZT0609, ZT0562Ti and the ZT0470. All made in the US and all of good quality, although not to the level of a CRK.

If you can accept an overseas manufactured knife designed and marketed in the US, Liong Mah offers some great framelock flippers built by Reate. The Warrior, The Remedy, the Zulu, the Hawk, the Tempest are all great frame lock flippers with Ti construction. The fit and finish on these knives approach that of CRK.

If you are looking for a flipper with the quality of CRK, you would not be disappointed with the Hinderer MP-1.
I have two of the all-Ti MP-1 and they are a thing of beauty. The best flippers I have owned, both in flipping and QC.
I would not say that about any of the Gen 6 or previous gen XMs I have owned, although I love mine very much.
