For the past year my Hinderer XM18 3" non-flipper has been my go to. I had others that I would carry on occasion, including a small Sebenza 21 WC, but always went back to the XM18. I never thought that would change.

I recently bought a small Sebenza 31 PJ as a beater/user (so I didn't beat up the WC) and had a G10 frag scale made for it. I love the XM18, but the 31 is just perfect for typical EDC, especially with a lightweight scale.

You know, I'm in the same boat. I always have a CRK on me. Carrying only one knife limits my want to carry something besides a CRK. In order to enjoy all the knives I have, I decided to start carrying two knives. This way I get to keep my other knives without feeling the need to move them along. So, for me, it's a left handed CRK in the left pocket and another in the right pocket. I was pleasantly surprised on how much I reach for the knife in the right pocket.

Carrying in the right and left pocket is a good solution. It sounds like you have a lot of knives. I don’t really have that many. I bought, sold and traded until I found the ones I really liked. Small Inkosi was too small, Umnumzaan was too big. I Haven’t tried the larges, but I think they’ll be too big.
I bought the 31 because the 21 would be too hard to replace, and fell in love with it.

I don't get this #1 mindset or knocking your #1 out. Why own different designs if you keep going back to 1 knife just buy multiples of the same 1 if you're like that. I like a varied rotation and appreciate their differences.

Everyone's different, but I own different designs because I bought/sold/traded probably 20-25 knives over the past 18 months and kept the ones that really spoke to me.

The TAD Dauntless and Sebenza 21 WC were bought to use, but I realized they would not be easy to replace, especially for what I paid, so I really don't carry them.

The Fellhoelter Frikky Frag and the Dragonfly 2 were pretty inexpensive and I carry them from time to time. That leaves the Hinderer XM-18 non-flipper and the Sebenza 31.

I actually did "buy multiples". I bought the Sebenza 31 as a user so I wouldn't use the Sebenza 21 and I bought/traded for the XM-18 as a user so I wouldn't use the TAD Dauntless.

If I want to carry something overbuilt, I carry the Hinderer. If I want something really pocket friendly and just as capable, I carry the Sebenza. Lately, the Sebenza, especially with the new scale wins.

I'm not sure if I'm talking myself into this, but that's what I'm sticking with.
