CRK Lanyard Pin exchange Question

Just had a thought and was wondering if anyone every tried it.

The lanyard hole for the 21 when the stop pin is inserted if i were to remove it and order me some screws and stop pin barrel from CRK directly and place them on same slot would it work. For the plain drop point blade looks like there might be room but for the insigno not sure. I dont particularly like the lanyard as it sticks out and interferes with my clothing/shirt so i have them removed. But aesthetically speaking the 2 empty holes sorta bother me. Wanted to know if i can place a stop pin barrel there and not only make it maybe slightly tougher but also more appealing to my eyes at least.

Just curious any input would be appreciated.

The lanyard hole is slightly bigger than the stand off hole, and CRK doesnt sell the screws.
You could do it if you found an after market screw/pin that fit.

What I, and others who I have learned from, do is to take the cord out of the lanyard pin, and put tiny piece if it back through and melt the ends. Then put the lanyard pin back in. The little paracord nubs keep it from sliding out the holes and the pin makes it look nice; no empty holes there.

It's been done on a Umnumzaan, I would guess that if the lanyard pins are the same for a 21 and Umnumzaan, then you could do it

Im loving that look plus it adds a bit of strength. The only reason i dont think it will work on my large 21 cuz the holes are slightly closer together Thats why i was thinking using a stop pin instead, lesser width and it doesnt touch the blade but i have not tried either one so no idea if both work.

Yup knew that one as well just prefer the screw look as well as the added strength, not that its needed really. Just a eye candy for me.
