CRK & Leatherman Collaboration?

I just picked up a Leatherman Charge TTI to supplement by EDC rotation. My initial response? It doesn't scream, "I'm worth $180". Why? It's in need of refinements and ergonomic comfort. There are hot spots, sharp edges, it's super tight, no spring loaded pliers. Materials seem good overall.

But what if...

Chris Reeve and Leatherman collaborated on a multitool? The ultimate precision crafted multi tool. I'd be all over that.

Unless I am mistaken, such a collaboration would be a first for both. Fromwhat I understand, neither has colloberated with anyone in the past.
I doubt it will happen. Leatgerman does know how to round esges and eliminate hot spots - when they want to.

Not the first for CRK. The Ti-Lock is a CRK and G&G Hawk collaboration. http://chrisreeve.com/TiLock

Not sure about Leatherman.

I want a mammoth bark leatherman, with an Insingo blade...

Also, CRK and CRKT briefly (almost) teamed up for this abomination...

That's because it is currently $115 at some places and not $180.. lol.
And if CRK did make a multi-tool it would be 500 bucks, in which case you would not want to use the wrench..

I think it would be priced around $800 if it was configured like the Leatherman Charge, but to Chris Reeve tolerances and S35VN steel blades.

In any case, it will never happen.

Get a victorinox swisstool spirit. Much more refined and well made than the leatherman.

I didn't say I bought it for $180. Actually $100. Yes if they ever did collab on something like that, I would pay $500 and I would use it just like my other knives.

I didn't say you paid that neither.. But it does scream 100ish..
I try not to drive my lambo here in MN during winter but I use it like my other 4x4 as well, so I feel ya..;)

The victorinox does make some nice refined tools mentioned above as well.. But still a little stiff.

You paid $100 For a charge Tti? You have no reason on the entire planet to complain. At all.
I paid over $100 for my Wave for crying out loud.

I feel like the only person in the planet who prefers Leatherman to Vic multi tools. The Spirit I handled had handles that weren't even level when closed.
Too smooth
Too heavy
Not made in USA
And I'd have to ship it overseas just for a warranty.
Not to mention cost too much for a multi tool.

I've got to say, the Charge TTI in my opinion, isn't all it's cracked up to be. Again, this just my opinion. Maybe I'm too much of a knife snob but then again maybe I'm not.
I actually prefer my $35 Wingman over the Charge. It doesn't boast an s30v blade or titanium scales but who the hell cares? I just don't think the Charge is worth it.

Yeah. I may ditch the Charge and go back to carrying a SAK. They are definitely more refined and better blades and overall construction IMO.
