Hey all, I just lost my only knife (a PM2) and need a replacement. For day-to-day cutting needs I really don't need anything more than a traditional blade length knife. I have always wanted to try a Mnandi and have been searching all over the internet for user opinions. What I most want to know is about the blade grind. Is it a hollow grind like the 21s are is it more flat ground like a 25? I am partial to grinds that are more full flat ground. Also, how do you like your mnandi?

Thanks, I hope to be joining the CRK family again soon with a new Mnandi.

The grind is more 21ish than the combo the 25 has. The Mnandi is an amazing knife. I have had over a dozen over the years. I went without one for awhile, but have 2 and glad I have em.

All you need, easy to carry.
CRK perfection. It cuts that apple and it's nice to fondle.

its may favorite locking edc. refined, elegant, tough and ultra-lightweight. The blade shape is an all-time favorite of mine.

Seb 21-like hollow grind

I carry one every day at the office. Very nice knife, especially if you want a traditional like knife (but better). Nice enough for the office but stout enough for heavier duty tasks. Plus it is not "intimidating" like other modern knives might be. Although it can handle the heavier duty tasks, the handle is a little small if you have to apply a lot of pressure.

Personally I prefer to remove the clip on mine.

Sorry - I have to post a picture. This is missing my latest addition, a Cocbolo Mnandi...

I have been looking for anyone that removes the clip from a Mnandi. Do you have a photo of the other side without clip? Especially with newer style clip I am curious what it looks like with clip removed. Do you carry it in pocket or in the leather pouch? I am wondering how the wood holds up to EDC use. I carry my knife and chapstick in one pocket and my phone in the other. My keys get carried in a bag or clipped on my belt to avoid scratches to either.

Sorry for the crappy pictures and it needs to be cleaned. I will try and get some better pics... I carried my African Blackwood without a sheath with no problems - and I actually carried it with chapstick. I've started carrying my Gabon Ebony with a sheath and actually like it better.
