Normally I'd get some good pics of a knife before I post something like this, this one just seems a little special.

First of all, I'm a Spydie guy at heart, 95% of my blades have the hole... love the brand, still do, always will. So as not to seem limited, I have a BM 930 that I like very much.

Cut to the chase.

Always wanted a Sebenza, finally put the funds together to get one, selling some, saving some... you know how it goes. Placed the order today for a Large 21, Cocobolo inserts and dual lugs ( I use my blades left and right equally). The good folks (Annie) in particular at NGK went above and beyond and snapped a couple camera phone pics of the knife before shipping to make sure I like it. Granted, shots are low quality, best she could do with what she had and some dang good service if you ask me. I really just wanted to see the inserts, there was no pic on their site when I ordered.

So there it is... shipped today, should have it Tuesday and I gotta tell ya, I'm pretty excited. My wife is perplexed (looks like a knife?) lol. Gotta tell someone who can dig it, thus, this post.

Welcome Aboard and Congratulations on your First Sebenza..!!! The Cocobolo inserts look beautiful, the grain is amazing. The only cocobolo I have is on my mnandi, its the one in my avitar. The grain on yours definately has more character than mine does. You will like the double studs, I carry my custom engraved NCIS sebenza everyday and it has double studs. Enjoy your sebenza, odds are it will not be your last......Let us know what you think when she arrives, I am anxious to hear your thoughts !!!

the folks at newgraham are the best!!! mike, annie and the others are top notch! Ann hand pick me a beautiful bocote mnandi, the wood is awesome, couldn't have done better. you'll be happy!!!

Thanks all ... at least I've got a couple pics to hold me over.

waiting..... waiting....

Nice choice. I have a small classic Sebenza w/ dual thumblugs and cocobolo inserts in my EDC rotation. Among other things, you'll enjoy impressive moisture resistance w/ the cocobolo's natural wood oils. It's several years old and has endured sweaty workout carry, and looks nearly as good as the day it was new.

Thanks for the reply! Part of the process of me spending $500 on a pocket knife was to research the wood to select; Cocobolo has great properties for the intended use. If the samples I've seen online and the images I received are fairly accurate color wise, I also really like the tone and grain.

Man, I can't recall a wait like this for a blade before, lol.
