Last week I was told my new Mnandi Damascus was going into the production queue. Any idea how long this process takes? I feel like a kid waiting for Christmas and I don't want to continue hassling Heather and company.

It just so happens that I called CRK this afternoon asking about how long to have the exact knife you discribed except with Desert Ironwood inlays and in left hand. I was told about 9 months. So I found one minus the Damascus at Only Fine Kinives and it will be here tomorrow.

I guess I was unclear, they have all the parts in house and have issued a work order. Given that, I was wondering if anyone could tell of a similar experience. The knife has been on order for over nine months.

When ever I have ordered from CRK it is usually a 4 to 5 week wait.
With that said everything i have oredered . None of them has been Damascus.

With all due respect, calling CRK is not a hassle. That's what they are there for. You pay good hard earned money for their product. They have always been very friendly to me when I called and always took their time answering my questions even though they were very busy. Answering your questions is what you pay for as a part of the CRK customer service. You pay for it, you might as well take advantage of it and I bet a simple call will nail the time down for you and make you feel better, I know what a bummer it is to be waiting for a knife.;)

Scott dog is right...I was in there to drop off a seb to be fitted for a new blade and Heather was a great help! She urged me to call if I thought the wait for the seb wasn't what I expected. While I am in no hurry, it is great to have that level of service! Guess I am lucky I only live about 5 miles from the CRK shop.

I don't think I could afford to live five miles away!
