I'm looking to buy my first CR knife and saw one on Gunbroker that is flat ground is that unusual? I want a folder but do not need a fancy milled out handle with jewels in it. I want a working knife. Small or Large Sebenza any recomendations? Are they all $385.00 that seems to be the only price I see.

I'd recommend starting with a plain jane large Sebbie.
If it doesn't have to be new shop around and be patient,
they often turn up in the for sale forums much cheaper.
They hold their value well and you can always sell or trade later.

Hi there. Yup $385 seems to be pretty standard [for the large Sebenza], $400 for the Umnumzaan [man ... I spelt that correctly - first try]. Used ones will of course sell for less. The Sebenza is THE quintessential classic folder and for $385 it's usually completely unadorned: i.e. two beautiful slabs of titanium, which is the way I like it too. Ti is beautiful enough. This is a workhorse knife, but it is beautifully designed and crafted. It seems to be the knife all others are judged on. Expensive - yes, but well worth the dosh and you'll leave it in your will.
