CRK Retail Prices - Website posting higher pricing!

QUOTE: KnifeFury; I would assume this is done often to get ignorant buyers to purchase there goods, but wow. Or did CRK raise prices?

Unless they know something we don't I'd say he's fishing.

Well since retail on every other item is a lie, I assume that we CRK fans have nothing to worry about!

This isn't just for CRK knives. Go to almost any knive purveyor's website and usually they will list the MSRP and then "their" price. Makes it appear that you are getting a "deal" on the knife. MSRP and actual "street" prices vary by quite a bit. Check around for the best price. Even check eBay for what the "Buy It Now" prices are to get an idea of "realistic" pricing.

MSRP = Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price

The point I had was that with CRK's it is very, very rare (at least in my short dealings and with the fixed blade models I was interested in) to find a CRK less than what is listed on the Factory Website. I would assume the factory website is the Retail Price or MSRP.

Reference this Chris Reeve's Ebay Search Link.
Although, there does appear to be a few CRK's on open auction (I may have to watch these!)

Part of the reason I started the thread because the folks I mentioned (reference original link) appeared to have some good deals on other blades (espicially some TOPS knives I was looking at) but then I came across this nonsense on the CRK Sable IV and questioned whether it was worth messing with these guys.

oso has a good rep.

The only price that matters is street price, all the rest is just fiction.

CRK has a strict policy of not allowing dealers to sell below their retail pricing. I'm not sure where Oso Grande got that retail price from.
