I would always prefer double silver as they show no wear, but actually do not mind the worn look of the blue. I have some with Gold, but never carried them enough to get that worn look. As for the double, I rarely use the other side to open it, but it looks more uniform to me over the single stud. Most of what I have though is single stud and have managed to survive with them so far.
I like the singles myself. Recently got my first blue lug and like it as well. The blue lugs wear in a bit like old jeans do. If you like your knives to stay perfect, definitely go silver, but don't discount what the blue brings as well.
I am a double stud man, color depends on the knife. I remember seeing a UG with a deep purple design and matching stud on the blade, I would love to see more of that kind of pairing.
i prefer single silver lug, it won't show wear look over time, i got a golden lug one though, i have not carried it yet, don't know if it is obvious when golden wear out.
Single lug for me. Mine are all blue, but I really like the look of the silver also, especially with the micarta and the silver lanyard pin. Small micarta 21 will be the next for me whenever I decide I must have one.
