I tried searching but didn't find a thread ... so forgive me if I missed it or copy and paste a thread if you know of one please ... I imagine its been discussed and I've just not found it but I currently own a CRK Sebenza 25 and I love it as all my Sebenzas ... with one excetion it isnt as easy to open as my 21's ... I assume because I get my grip somewhat against the pocket clip and cause it to take a bit more to open.
So my question is this: how does the Large Inkosi compare to the 25 in comfort in hand ... and is there a noticiable difference in the action since the pocket clip has been realigned slightly? Is it enough to warrent thinking of trading my 25 for the Inkosi? Or are the differences so subtle that I wouldn't notice?

I personally went for the inkosi based on the differences. I believe Chris Reeve continuously innovates and improves, and if he considered the various changes a improvements then they probably are improvements.

I was considering only one knife at the time. It may or may not be worth trading one for the other... only you will know that. Some guys mention hot spots with the clip position. All that depends on how you grip the knife.

Thanks for the thread link  ... was a good read ... sounds like it may not be so much different them the 25 ... and I do like my 25 so I think I will hold onto it until a day I may get a chance to handle a Large Inkosi and see how it feels.

I have a micarta 25. I don't plan on replacing it with an inkosi but I might add a different inkosi alongside it (like a PJ, insingo or a Wilson Combat version if they ever get one). I did debate buying a micarta inkosi earlier today because I like the inlays better than on the 25 but in the end didn't think it was worth it. I've owned a small inkosi and have another small on the way. Differences are very subtle but I kind of like the screwed lock pin on the 25 better. The pocket clip is definitely better on the inkosi but I have a hawk clip on the way to remedy that.

View attachment 721750 OP, since you've read the posts from the old discussion, you'll notice that there are some subtle improvements in the Inkozi over the 25. They weren't enough for me to replace my Starbenza 25, though. I have been seriously thinking of adding one of the new small Inkozi Insignos though. Now if Wilson would come out with a small Star-kozi Insigno, I'd be on it like.......well, right away.

I think the pass-thru stop pin, new washers and especially the lack of an asymmetrical notch in the stop pin are enough of an improvement to warrant the upgrade. The groove for the lockup ball was a nice touch too when it was still in production.

I haven't had an chance to get hands on one yet but from reading past and present posts I don't think I'll replace my 25 but I am still interested in getting to handle an Inkosi and get a feel for the differences. I have been wanting to pick up a Starbenza or maybe Startac myself ... I have a Large and a Small 21 Micarta Insingos that are some of my favorites knives. The 25 I love with the exception of the clip placement that was my main reason for considering teplacing it with the Inkosi

Try a hawk clip instead. I have one on the way today for my 25. I've heard its much better.

I saw that mentioned in the older thread and by you here ... I'm going to have to look into that ... I really do like my 25 and its not even terrible to open but I tend to not think about it before I go to open it and then have to remember it is the 25 in my hand and just slightly adjust my grip and it glides open like it should. Thanks I'll have a look at that clip

Sorry, didn't even realize I had already mentioned it.

No worries I'm glad you mentioned it again ... I was reading both posts when I read your first post and saw it but didn't register the name so seeing it again I knew what to look for. Its all good.

I checked out the Hawk Clip they are sold out for now ... I wonder if they will produce more since the TiLock is being discontinued.

They will. There are apparently still some orders of the ti-lock getting filled and they are taking all the clips. But Tim Reeve mentioned they will still make it. I had to buy mine used.

They work great on a 25.

Yes, I got mine yesterday. One for the Umnumzaan too. It's better on both knives, though not perfect. It's slightly less comfortable in the pinky but much more comfortable everywhere else. I'm happy with them.

My fairly new large Inkosi remains mostly unused. My large 25 has been my "go to" carry regardless of some of the negativity, maybe rightfully posted here. After I figured out the reassembly with the stop pin, it became a non-issue.
Lately I have found that I'm gravitating more to my small Inkosi on a daily carry basis. In fact it has taken over the spot that my lg 25 has had which I hadn't considered anything taking it's place.
I have always liked the larger knives but that "like" is changing. If I were right handed I'd go for the sm Inkosi with the Insingo blade but after waiting 9 months for my lg inlaid Inkosi... I'll pass, regrettably.
