I have a CRK Sebenza large with a signed blade, it was a gift from a knife shop that's now closed. Is this a collector's knife or are all Sebenza'a signed? Should I go ahead and use it or trade/sell it to get a user knife?

Yes it is a flat grind. So I know what that is but what does it mean re: this knife? Is it rare?

YES it is rare!!!!! It is a limited run of Chris Reeve knives with flat grind. Chris hand finished the flat grind himself if I remember correctly. That is a keeper. I only know of one member on the forum that has one.

The flat grind Sebenzas were a very limited run. I believe they actually made less of them than planned. They are heavily in demand by collectors.

I don't know how to post pictures but will try later. This jogs my memory the dealer who gave me this knife did say that Chris Reeves himself did hand finish the blade or something like that. I also came with a leather pouch but that was a separate box. I'll try to post or email the pics to someone who can post them up. Thanks for the replies.

I've got one, just because Chris signed it..... It's safe, I have more for EDC! I traveled to the Cal. and took my throw down Um.... Didn't want to take a chance of loosing my Damascus Seb. to a baggage handler! Bart1

The easy way to post pics here is to use a photo hosting service like Photobucket. It's very quick to set up an account, and then you can just insert the picture's URL that they provide.

I can't post pictures because I'm not a paying customer yet. So if anyone wants to post some for me send me a email thanks.
