Alright I've had this knife for two weeks now and it has yet to leave my side, I open and close it non stop, I constantly fondle and caress the sexy curves of this little machined marvel.
In two weeks, I've cut everything I could think of from cardboard to branches, used it to clean old gaskets of a head, sliced tomatoes and trimmed streak. Carried it with the clip, without the clip and even made an ivory plug for the recess when the clip' s removed.
I've taken it apart, put it back together, put it back together wrong,(washers swapped) took it apart and put it back together again countless times, (only made the mistake once) and it got together flawlessly every time.
Now I knew goin' into this to expect exacting tolerances and superb quality control with unparalleled customer service but it's the little things that really blow me away, the attention to detail is unsurpassed.
The fact that the phosphor bronze washers have cutouts allowing the pivot area to maintain even lubrication with a reservoir so the pivot stays lubbed longer.
The fact that all the edges were radiused so the only sharp edge was the intended one. The fact that the blade to handle ratio in nearly 1 to 1, (I've never seen so much blade packed into a similar sized handle, the blade at rest in the closed position is recessed far enough back into the handle so as to protect the edge of the blade and your fingers from the open back design.
With its DNO blade centering, the tip stays safe and outta the way of your finger when it's closed how could ya not like it?
The way the ramped jimped thumb rest is so unobtrusive yet leaves enough exposed so ya can open it by rolling your finger over the the rest of the closed blade like a bic lighter to open the knife.
The wasp waist makes for super comfortable, secure grip, giving it excellent retention properties, the balance is outstandin' makin' this a very fast very comfortable knife.I
Love the CRK forum, the loyalty and camaraderie, the way everyone's friendly and passionate about their knives, it's these little things that ya don't really notice till ya get the knife in hand.
BTW, here's pics of my Sebenza
