I recently purchased the CRKT M16-LE, I love this thing, very solid, very very dependable. My new carry knife.

They are a very cool design, and I find mine very comfortable in the hand and in the pocket, but ... the liner lock on mine leaves a bit to be desired. It doesn't grab the tang of the blade at all, and will disengage during a spine-whack test. The "LAWKS" system keeps it from disengaging, but being forced to use that for a safe and secure knife is not really acceptible.

Hopefully yours doesn't have that deficiency. That's really my only beef with the knife ... I love the design, but that's a fairly severe construction flaw. I got mine cheap, and it's no longer a regular carry knife, so I'm not too inclined to do anything about it.

I've got many CRKT knives, and the lockup on them is generally excellent.

They've also got excellent warranty service; very responsive. I've contacted them a couple of times over the last few years. I'd give them a call; they'll take care of you. Phone number is at the bottom of the www.crkt.com "Warranty" page.

The ones I have had have been great. For the price point you get/got decent steel, nice fit and finish and really good lock up. My early version M16-14 was as solid as any of my high end folders. I also really dig the flippers! The M1 Lightfoot is like a mini pitbull! It's strong, fills the hand and is beefy! I'd compare it to my Buck Striders. Great worker/user knives to have laying around the house and office, etc.
