CRK WALKING STAFF SPEAR FOR one piece knife. I have seen them for Randall 18 where you take the cap off and you can screw your knife on to it. Does anyone know if there is such a thing for CRK, and if so who makes them?

They were made, but not by CRK. There were a pair on sale on EBay a couple of months back, pretty rare. Gloss black finish and screw in skull crusher cap.

I have NEVER seen a walking stick for a CHRIS REEVE 1 piece except for a custom one on ebay.. HOWEVER on arizoniacustom knives site they have aCHRIS REEVE CANE...\\good luck

I don't know who made them but they also made a selection of brass "skull crusher" but caps. The ins I've seen pictures of all had a compass in the cap. These were designed to work with the larger OPKs not the smaller 4" bladed ones. Afraid I cleared all my old watch items on eBay so don't have the pics now.

Found an old link in an email I sent to a fellow collector, I've sent you a pm with the ebay sellers name so maybe you could contact them and get a makers name.

Incidentally, this idea did come up by the CRK staff many years ago. The episode portrays a good example of the way Chris thinks. Chris is a whole solution thinker, as opposed to focusing on the smaller picture. One of the reasons that you don't see humongous folders with super thick blades is that Chris feels that from a whole solution perspective, such blade lengths and/or thicknesses are too much for conventional pivot strengths. This is coming from a guy that has designed what is perhaps the strongest folder pivot on the planet. I've always admired that design perspective, and have integrated it into my own design concepts in the high tech business I'm in. But, I digress . . . When Chris considered the idea of a staff on which one could screw a OPR knife, I remember him rejecting the idea because such a solution would suggest usage that would abuse the knife as he designed it.

I hope you enjoyed this walk down CRK trivia lane. :)

I get that I do and I agree, but it is really cool and the little boy who lives inside of me wants to fight dinosaur with his CRK on a stick and that little boy usually get his way or he wont let me sleep. :D

I had to quote this because it is one of the silliest (and coolest) pieces of honesty I have read all day.

I hear you and understand completely, I also appreciate the honesty and got a good chuckle out of that!
