A few silly questions regarding the sheath that Chris Reeve makes for the Sebenza.

1. How much force does it take to pop the button open or closed? Could I do it with a simple flick of my thumb or is some force required?

2. Does it still fit well if I opt to remove the clip?

3. Are there any other good sheaths that aren't an open-top design? (I've found a few of these, but haven't seen any sheaths with a flap other than what CRK sells.)

I can't reply to the two first points because i bought mine with a flap to a custom sheath maker, very nice guy, have a look to his site: www.vessleatherworks.com
Hope this help.

I do have a CRK sheath for my Sebbies. Yes, you can open it with a flick of your thumb.I think your Sebbie would fit just fine without the clip. I like the closed top variety of knife sheaths, at least for MY Sebbies. I have used Lifter's leather is the past. He makes some excellent open top sheaths.

TheKnifeCollector: Having owned other high-quality sheaths, how would you rate the Sebbie's sheath? I hear that they're good, but you know how far an unqualified opinion can be trusted on the Internet... I've owned a few "good" sheaths that were of inexcusable quality, and that makes me wary of production pieces.

The only thing I don't like about it from what I've seen/read is the belt loop; I much prefer clips.

It is a very HIGH quality sheath!! I love it. I like the belt loop, as it can't be yanked off my belt, or accidentally snagged.
