CRKT 2010 catalog

I'm liking the new stuff a lot. Among MANY others, I'll be interested in the MSRP on that tactical pen. :D

My fave new one is the Centofante Tribute - superbly elegant.
It uses a steel which I never encountered: 7Cr17MoV. Curious how it'll be.

Blade steel on several new models is a decent midrange 8Cr14MoV - which is what the Tenacious has. Not high end, but decent if well-priced.

One thing is a bit a pity: the 2009 catalog showcased two elegant "Renner Scharrd" designs which didn't see the light last year, and not this year either. A pity as they were very elegant.

One STRANGE missing item: the Ken Onion Ripple isn't there. Is it already discontinued? That seems unlikely. Anyway, I have one in the mail.

@thejamppa: the Summa is a 2009 model, already on the market since a while. It's truly lovely in my opinion. I call it "my tactical laguiole".

Oh, thanks for info. I just wonder the name... No way he couldn't have mean the Battle of Summa. Just the Finnish name in American knife catalogue did attach my attention.
 
Dagon - crkt didn't managed to prepare ripple in catalog on time, it will be in flayer.
On the other hand, they put it on market faster than other stuff.

Lil' Hissatsu folter if very cool.

I don't know what the name refers to, that would be good to know. FYI it's interesting that Gerry McGinnis is surprisingly young, around 20 years old, and his Summa design is already so mature. If you're interested in seeing the Summa in the hand, I made a short video clip review about it.

Thanks for the clarification about the Ripple.
Indeed, the small Hissatsu could be a bestseller. It's not at all what I am looking for (the Centofante is much more that) but pretty cool nevertheless.
 
I really like the look of the NIRK. It reminds me of the CS Folding Bushman, only better executed.

Wait a minute, the blade is hardened to 51 Rc. Sorry for bringing up a non-knife related topic.
 
I already know I'm getting the premonition and shrimp. I love the designs Mcginnis puts out. The tactical pens and the mini hissatsu folder are a maybe.
