CRKT 2013 Catalogue

I like the Onion skinner and that biotech looks like a great neck carry method.

Wow.

I am honestly surprised. I think the CRKT has come out with better stuff this year than Benchmade. I love the Axe, the new fixed blades, and quite a bit more.

Agreed. They seemed to have notice that.
Ryan Johnson mentioned that there will be more collabo axes to come. This is just the tip of the iceberg. Damn.

The Ipad is loading more stuff than what you expected from CRKT in the past years.

Damn, skippy.

I've been avoiding CRKT since I first got into knives, but a couple of those new knives look absolutely awesome (especially the Bronze ripple and the Swindle). The Sakimori looks really nice, too, but deep down I know I'd never get any use out of it, and the price tag isn't too appealing at all.

You're right a lot of new cool stuff. that being said I'm not to happy about the swindle clip it reminds me to much of the caswell edx.
The #5 looks good though

Wow... I've always put SOG a notch above CRKT. I just can't see it anymore. No way, not even close.

I will absolutely be trying some of their new flippers. Ball bearings at that msrp? Sign me up.

They even have a wooden knife like Spyderco.

Anyone ever try Veff serrations? How do they compare to spyder edge?

Looks really good, I'm happy they got rid of the cheesyness from few years back. Repemtion and FE series looks really good! CRKT actually seems to put some thought to their sheaths rather than some other not mentioned companies.

(Overly Exaggerated voice) oh do tell what wonderful company's that offers Incredible Knives and very Functional sheaths.
What whas the name of that company sir?

CRKT is actually taking things seriously, and I like what I'm seeing. They keep this up and they'll be one of the heavy-hitters in the upper-mid range in very short order. I had always considered them more of an entry-level "nice" knife brand before.

I like the Otanashi Noh Ken knife. Looks so... I don't know... sharp! The LAWKS addition just about breaks my heart and 6.4oz is weighty, but considering it sports a 4.5" blade, that's easily forgiven. If this thing ends up coming out for under a hundred bucks, I might have to try one out.

Thanks for posting the link!

It's nice to see CRKT get some appreciation around here. I've always liked them. Great customer service, some awesome designs, and they're big contributors to KnifeRights and the AKTI. Partnering with Ken Onion was probably one of the best moves they could make.
Thanks for posting that catalog, I wouldn't have know about any of their new models if not for that.

LAWKS can be removed pretty easily. There're a few tutorials on YouTube, I think.

That Ikoma Carajas is awesome too.

...

No "probably" about it!;)

Is it out of line to recognize the importance of Onion designs with respect to the success of other companies in the past?
How many truly iconic models has he penned? Is there anyone who's knife designs are more prolific in their genre---10+ years after they were first released!?

Plus, Rod and the CRKT crew are good people with a reputation for good business practices. They've partnered with fine designers over the years (Carson's work has done really well for them, for instance), and they've got some fine stuff from other makers available too, but let's be honest. The addition of Ken's current and future work, along with the increased production value they seem to be attaining (the marketing side has always been there, IMO) ... There's A LOT of upside here.

(And no, I don't have any business relationship with Ken or CRKT whatsoever. Just my opinion, agreeing with Dan57:))

I like the idea of the paracord bracelet with the commando saw built into it. Definitely gonna buy one of those.

Got a Sport Chalet nearby? I saw a really cool one at the store today. I believe it had a saw. They also had a cool pc lanyard that had a tiny knife, fire steel, jute and other stuff in it. Plus pc by the foot and bagged.

Sorry to get ot. :o
