I have two broken CRKT Voodoos (torsion bars snapped) so I have $125 to spend twice at the CRKT website. The foresight is in my crosshairs, but looking for other suggestions and let it be known I am a lefty.

i think the foresight is one of the best models in the CRKT lineup currently. i have one and the quality is pretty good and it flips open real nice. the CRKT hissatsu folder and the otonashi are also great too.

If you can find a Mah Eraser, that's one of my favorite CRKT's, 4 position clip, flips great, great ergos, but some may consider it a bit thick in pocket

There was a thread a while back about a fossil having its torsion bar snap so you may want to stay away from that given your recent experience. Further, everything at the CRKT web page is way over priced. I would ask them to cut me a check and buy elsewhere.

I'm a lefty, I've got a foresight and it's a great knife. Mine was a little gritty so the action wasn't as buttery smooth as it is now after disassembly and regreasing. The only issue I have with the knife is that when the clip needs to be tightened you have to take the knife apart to do it. Locktite. It's also a bit heavy for EDC imo but I love it out in the bush or even at work. Also I should mention the black coating on the blade has held up miles beyond my expectations. The handle scales have held up good but not as great as the blade. Too bad they discontinued the Razel 'cause they are amazing! I also have a Hissatsu and it's fun and cool looking but not all that practical unless you need to poke a lot of shit. lol!

Why are you buying another one??

Read the original post again. OP has store credit at the CRKT site, so it's another CRKT or nothing.

It is a good point. If I had two of the same knife from a company catastrophically fail I would be leery of getting even a different knife from said company. CRKT is not known for the best quality. See if they can cut you a check for at least some or most of the money and go to a more reputable brand.

If you're into back locks, the Graphite is ambidextrous (or anything with the Klecker lock). Any of the Eros models would be great choices. Or buy 31 Eat'N Tools for family, friends and neighbors. They'd love you for it.

I like the Eros, but my understanding is I get one knife for one knife and the dont have the premium one any more. So, $125 to spend twice and thats it, no two knives (or 31 eatn tools) for one. No cash either.
Any one have a Nirk Tighe 2? Kinda like the looks. Foresight is picked for one of the two. Thanks for the advice.

I wouldn't call a broken torsion bar a catastrophic failure by any means, even if it hurt a little when the first one went and hit me in my bare toe lol. They were both excelent folders before IMHO, good steel and love the handles. Its why I bought a second one.
I own 5? other CRKTs that I really like, and I carried each of the Voodoos for at least 5 years before the failures. They arent heritage knives but they are pretty good users.

I gotta nirk tighe. Don't know if its a 1 or 2. I like it alot but it has blade play and a non adjustable pivot, so it gets no pocket time.

They dont make them anymore so they dont have parts. Seems a little shortsighted to me but I dont own a knife company so dont know what keeping a few extra clips, bars blades in stock would cost.

Okay then. Good luck with your search.

I do/dont recommend the crawford triumph. It does fit my hand really comfortably (size small in gloves), but it is pretty big and heavy if that matters to you, also the clip in tip down right hand and its a tanto. I like my m21-03G if you like bigger knives you may want to check it out.

I saw that one, but you mean the framelock snapped, right? It's my understanding that the Fossil features IKBS.

Don't quote me haha!
