i know this is an old knife, but i thought about buying one of these before i found the Izula. the one thing i liked about the Sting was that it was doubled edged and it was fairly inexpensive. after reading pages and pages of reviews and people saying that they hated the sheath, i decided against it. i mean, it weights like two or three times what the Izula weighs even though it is the same size. which i know, is probably because it is made of forged steel and not skeletal. i like the fact that you could paracord wrap the Izula or even make a handle if you wanted to. oh, which reminds me, the other thing i thought was weird about the sting was that it was made of a different steel, i have never heard of 1050 carbon, what is the difference from that and 1095. thanks

I think you'll be happier with the Izula.

The Sting was designed primarily as a defensive tool. It's heavy, the edges are thick and the steel isn't designed for utility work, it's pretty mild.

Good for what it's made for but not an overly utilitarian design.

if you liked the double edge, you might want to wait a little. they are coming out with a rc-3(i believe) and rc-4 with a sharpened swedge

yeah, well i kind of like the defense like blade design. i am planning on carrying my Izula as a EDC knife. i dont do a lot of outdoor work, but i still do like the Izula. thanks.
