All right, so this isn't an honest to God review, but I just got the thing about seven hours ago.
I'm really impressed with this knife. The action is smooth, the blade has an excellent hollow grind, the handle is very comfortable and grippy enough for field use, lock up is tight and the blade-detente is excellent. Blade design is really good, and after a few small tests on paper and cardboard, I can say that this is damn near shaving sharp. The FRN handle have thick enoguh liners to make them very stiff and sturdy, much more so than an FRN Endura (I hate that cheap, flimsy feeling). The design should be great for a variety of outdoors/utility purposes, and the blade should be easy enough to sharpen. For a 32 buck knife, it is doing a lot better than most.
At first I was a little apprehensive about ordering CRKT. My friend bought a Navajo and the dang thing started rusting like mad after two weeks, and not under unduly harsh conditions. So far this is a great value buy and an excellent field knife in general. Ask me how well it performs after this summer.
