Crkt bladelock 4013 auto question

I just purchased a crkt bladelock 4013 knife on eBay. This is the Michael Walker designed knife with the locking button on the blade itself. Missing a scale screw but otherwise in almost flawless unused condition. I was unaware that it was an assisted knife(possibly even considered automatic) until I opened the box. I can find no reference to any of these bladelock knives being autos or assisted. Is this possibly a rare find?

Sounds like it might have been modified. Got any pictures or a video of it being opened?

Some older CRKT knives that lock or can be made to lock in the closed position were easily converted to autos.
I have two, an Anubis and Hawk D.O.G. both were converted.
BladeHQ had a variety of different CRKT models that had been converted.

Yours looks to be very well done and a nice score.

Thank you. Yeah I’m real happy with this one. It looks like a simple spring bar was added in the handle. Very professionally done. I’m thinking maybe back in the day someone sold a conversion kit.
