Just rcvd one - if a knife can be "cute", this is. (Hmmm....don't know if that should be my answer right there....) Very nice design, good looking, simple, fluid lines, (nice job Kit) but the thing is just too short to really hold. Anyone else have any experience with it?

I purchased mine to wear for my 4 times a week runs. It is the middle size of three neck knives that I have for that purpose. For jogging, I am just interested in having a knife as a tool with me. So far, I haven't used it for much except to get mud out from between my cleats. Yes the F4 is small but it probably can work fine for most tool uses. It would not be very effective as a real weapon but my expectation is that I don't need to jog with a weapon anyway.

The CRKT/Carson F4 has become one of my most carried and used knives. It is small, but for a small knife its quite comfortable to use, and I find it to be pretty secure in the hand (for a small knife). I leave the clip on the sheath and clip it inside the watch pocket on my jeans. Its very comfy there, and easy to get to and put away when done. Comes in real handy when eating out and the restaraunt steak knives are to dull to ever tear its way through a good steak.

Where are you eating? If it's a GOOD steak, you should hardly need a knife!

Thanks for the feedback. I really like the knife, just doesn't seem real steady in my hand.

 By the way, where did you get the colored handles? (Or just a digital photography trick?)

Just a little digital imaging fun...what I do when im bored.

I own one... I love it..
Although it's a tad small, it's very handy. Cuts very well too.
If you find it small, put a lanyard on it. It should come with one and give you something more to hold on to.

At last years blade show Kit showed me the (then) new CRKT F4's.
He walked over to the CRKT booth, took the F4 out of the sheath around his own neck, and put it in the CRKT sheath. The CRKT then went into the custom's sheath. Both fit perfect. If not for the markings, you would be hard pressed to tell them apart.

Well, thanks to all for your 2 cents worth. After using it now for a little over a week, I am very impressed with overall quality & design. I wish the belt clip on the back of the sheath were not so thick - a light weight removable steel clip would make the sheath much thinner & less obtrusive. I also do still think it should have been another half inch longer. Just needs more length to hold - blade is fine. The lanyard helps, but if there were room for just one more finger on the handle....

I've got one, also thought it a bit small for a lot of uses, but ended up fastening the sheath to my Becker Campion sheath to have when a small blade is necessary...perfect match there. For the money, though, under $20 (and recently saw them for $10 ), they're a great little knife.

I'd say it's the almost perfect backup for me. If it has the extra length for the pinky, then it would be perfect.

Yup I agree...one of the best values around for utility.., and a little more grip and I'd be in love...
