Thought I would try my hand at a review so here goes....
I had been using a small folder at work and thought I would try a small fixed blade feeling it might be faster and safer. I chose the CRKT Carson F4. Small enough not to scare the sheeple (I work retail) and is pretty discreet when pushed up against my Nite-Ize belt pouch.
I paid all of $14.99 plus the usual shipping, taxes and customs fees so it was not a big gamble. It arrived close to razor sharp and with a small Sharpmaker effort it was removing hair nicely. It certainly is a small knife(overall 5 1/2"), however your pinky finger wraps around the lanyard making it feel bigger then it actually is. Kinda nice.
The scales are Zytel and appear to be removable. If one cared to you could dress it up with some other scales. I found the "control friction grooves" well designed. The grooves were deep enough my fingers would press into them and prevent any slippage. Pretty important for such a small knife with no guard.
The blade is AUS 6M and performance was acceptable. Numerous slices through cardboard and cuts in rope would dull her down fairly well. It easily touched up with some strokes over the med. and fine stones on the Sharpmaker. Over time, the beadblast would take a burnish from the cardboard, but what the hell, it is a user. The full hollow grind seems to make it more efficient with the cardboard slicing.
Although there is an imprint of the knife on the zytel sheath (like it was designed for left side carry), the sheath will hold the knife facing either way. Now for my only knock. When replacing the knife it can bind if not but back perfectly straight. I wished the sheath would "self guide" the blade. At times this can be a hassle. Other then that the sheath is kind of neat. It can become a neck knife and offers multiple carry options.

Overall not a bad little blade for the money.
This one gets 7 out of 10 band-aids.......
