So I finally ordered one of these bad boys. It looks to be an awesome design by Jim Hammond. It's discontinued now but you can still find it in many places. I have another "dessert" crkt and their brown coating on the blade is not bad! So I ordered the Operation Iraqi Freedom version of the Cruiser which as the AUS 8 steel instead of the 8crmdkjafiojoeifjoa steel.

The Hammond Cruiser is the same knife with different steel, color, & no serrations. I got both & I like them. Especially for $25 or so. They feel great in the hand & are pretty stoutly built.

I thought there was a larger one that was also combo edge and it had a larger flipper and a slight recurve.

They must have changed them over the years because my Desert Cruiser has a large guard at the top when the knife is open , and an equally large flipper.
and the blade does have a slight recurve. I have mine about 6 years.

yes that's the one I have, but it has the OIF logo and has the tan coating.
