Hi all,
Did CRKT discontinue the Apache line? I do not see them listed on the website. My EDC is the Apache III. The only thing I would change would be the scale/handle material. The scales are of Aluminum and are a little slippery feeling in cool dry hands. Something sexy like carbon fiber would be cool. I really like the ATS-34 blade, and it appears CRKT has discontinued using this steel in its new blades. Just curious.

Thought it was discontinued for a while already.

The ATS-34 blade probably made the knife too expensive for casual buyers.

Yeah, yeah. It just shows how long I've been carrying and enjoying this knife. I just started reading this forum about 2 weeks ago, and I just want to say that I'm glad there are others out there like me. I used to carry a BM CQC6 that I bought about 6.5 yrs ago, but because of the "sheeple's" reactions, I switched to a smaller EDC blade. (BTW I love that sheeple thing, I used to just call them "lemmings", if the TV told them to jump off a cliff, they all would.)

Hi,
I have the apache II with bead blasted blade and black anodized aluminum handles, I believe they are still available on eBay fairly inexpensively. The folder is a bit too small for my tastes, and mine has been lightly carried, but is still in excellent condition. It has been sharpened with a Lansky kit once, but has no obvious scuffs or damage. If you would like it, email me, I'd be willing to make you a fair deal on it. Still have box and original paperwork. JDBraddy
