I'm in the habit of bringing a little gift when visiting friends up north, and I've been eyeing the Air Ranger as a purchase for myself for quite some time. While doing a search for the next knives to give to my friends ( the last were Pocket Bushmans) during a upcoming visit, I stumbled across the CRKT Drifter.
The Drifter's resemblance to the Air Ranger is uncanny, and at a price point less than half of the AR. I would be purchasing four knives, so the difference in total cost would be significant. My friends are not "knife nuts" but would certainly get plenty of use of the knives due to their lifestyles.
Bottom line; is it worth the extra expense to opt for the ARs over the Drifters?
