Hey All, I'm torn between 3 CRKT knives I want to add to my EDC rotation. I don't own a CRKT knife yet. Can't decide between Pilar Steel/Copper, Burnley Sketch Desert Warrior, or Burnley Tuna Green G-10. Love the look of these 3 but can only get 1...for right now. Recommendations are appreciated

My small Pilar has served me well, it's my designated Amazon box cutter and it's gone through hundreds over the last few years and it's been dropped and put through the ringer and it's still solid.

Don't own the other two but they look like decent knives too.

If you are dead set on those three I have heard good things about the Pilar, though I prefer more of a point on my blades for some light piercing work (tape, food packets, etc). I used to own a CRKT hootenany as well as a CRKT Outrage and both of those served me well.

For me it's either the CRKT Cuatro (bearings flipper) or the M4-02W (A/O Thumbstud in "barlow" style). Have several other CRKTs, but I like the lines of the Cuatro a lot and it flips open easily (somewhat similar design to Tuna). If you like longer blades, take a look at the Maven.

I own all three of these knives (different versions, though). Pilar is a great knife. Easy to carry, comfortable to use. Easy to recommend. Sketch is alright, I like it more than the spyderco techno which I felt was comparable in size. Think the Pilar outshines it. I really like the Tuna’s blade shape and it being thin/lightweight.

These are my CRKTs
Akari, Argus, Crossbones, Hissatsu, M-16-14T, Minimalist, Nirk Tighe, Obake, blue Acuto Ripple, copper Acuto Ripple, grey Acuto Ripple, Shizuka Noh Ken. None of these are spectacular EDCs. When it comes to CRKT, I like their quirky collaborations the best.
That being said, out of the three you mentioned I would try the Tuna first. It is the larger of the three, and I like the blade shape a lot.
For me, the Pilar is boring, but unlike the other two, it has a pretty solid reputation in the knife community.

Would you consider the Large Pilar in D2 and G10? I, being a self proclaimed Pilar expert, think that that's the best version that's readily available right now. CRKT's D2 steel is probably the best steel they've put out (their S35VN and 8cr13mov are mediocre at best. The D2 is actually good). The Pilars are great design, and thefore a lot of people like them enough to provide a lot of aftermarket parts and mod support.

Don't be fooled by the word "Large" in the name, it's the exact same size as the Sketch you mentioned.

Here are mine, regular S35VN on top, Large D2 on bottom. 20200720_183135~2_resize_97.jpg
