Okay, I just got one of these from Knifecenter. Two questions:

1. When the blade is closed, there is a lot of slop in it (side to side) and the blade can be pulled out SLIGHTLY with the lock engaged. Is this normal for the autoLAWKS knives? This is my first.

2. There is a sizable nick in one of the scales right out of the box. Who should I contact about this? Knifecenter or CRKT?

I've got one of these, though I bought it at a brick-and-mortar store.

When closed, the blade on mine does wiggle just slightly in and out, but not laterally. And there were no nicks.

I would contact knifecenter first. Sounds like your piece got smacked around a little during handling.
