I really like that knife however the 440C made me think if it's really worth buying.

Isn't 440C the cheapest of steel ?

No, 440C isn't the cheapest of steel. It won't hold an edge like S30V, but if you don't use your knife heavily every day, it should be fine.

440C is a a good quality steel. I didn't say the best out there by any means. It is above the 440A. Many custom makers years ago used 440C steel for their knives. Most less expensive knife companies who list their steel as 440 are using the 440A. As said above it should be fine for normal use.

Ok, thanks.

The black coated is better looking, but i think it's 440A.. I don't want to buy garbage either

I don't have any gripes with 440A. I don't see 440C around much these days except for Smith & Wesson knives, and it may or may not be up to the standards of modern 440C. AUS 6 is my absolute cut-off point for most knives. Unless your knife is a weapon, edge retention and strength are good-to-have features. For use as bladed weapons, even a cheap Chinese knife will do in many cases.
