I saw addverts a few years ago for a CRKT
Sebenza, that looked just like the real
thing except I believe their handles where
phenolic or some such.

Did those ever make it out to the
public? What was the problem?

TIA,
DaveH

A couple of years ago Skylands had an ad for them and I talked to Greg there about them. Between the time the ads ran and the catalog was rec'd he said there were problems and they never did come to fruitation.

I believe that Sal Glesser (sp?) once said that Spyderco tried to get CR to do a collaberation, but Reeve wasn't interested. I'd think that for a production knife like Reeve, a collaberation with another factory would reduce the demand for their own product enough to not be worth it. I don't think Zowada, Centofane, et al are losing any customers because of their collaberations because they're different segments of the knife market, but Reeve almost definately would...

Axel,

In the new Blade mag, there's an ad for Moteng, and they're advertising some new models...one of them being a CRKT Crawford Kasper folder! There's also a Crawford Point Guard...

anybody get their hands on one? Supposedly they were at the SHOT show...

Thank you Mr. G. I haven' t heard much about this project with the Crawfords nor have I handled either. They will probably make their debut at the show as mentioned. Those black and whites do however show a curious looking protrusion of some sort in the form of what appears to be a small stud. They ride right on the area where the thumb rests in the sabre grip. Hmmm...

I noticed that too, Nakono2, and hmmm is right.

What a bummer, I've been waiting almost a year for Benchmade to hopefully

start producing the Crawford Point Guard with an axis lock, I mean, the axis lock looks as if it were designed for the Point Guard! And now CRKT has it, sniff, and there is a weird bump on the thumb rest of the handle
