So lately I just started looking at the Fossil. I think I want the small one but I want your opinions. If you have the small, does the blade operate smoothly when closing? I have seen the big one just kind of fall closed. Is it a good size (small)? I appreciate all responses, and pictures are great too!

Far too expensive for an 8cr blade.

I have the large one and don't really carry it much because of the sharp spots on the handle.

This includes both the inside of the handle and the thumb ramp.

It flips open great though.

Yeah it doesn't personally matter to me, but I kind of agree. As long as I know how to sharpen.

I haven't held the small, but do have the large, and will say it is hands down the smoothest flipper I own. I don't care about the steel. It works fine. I bought it because I love the design.

This^ I got one, it flips great but tough on the hands.
