CRKT Grey Ghost Mirage

I have two: a #7832 Wharncliffe and a #7803. Both are flawless, and I consider them the epitome of all that is good coming out of Taiwan today.Smooth, strong and SHARP, not to mention beautifully designed (strictly a personal observation)and reasonably priced. You will not go wrong with either of these, unless mine are somehow exceptional samples (not likely!). They both possess all the qualities one would expect to find in knives costing several times as much.:D :D

I have the large spearpoint model (7803 I think). It it super sharp, super-smooth action, and comfortable handle. The things I don't like about it are the somewhat thin liner lock (never had it fail, but I don't trust it completely), and the somewhat heavy aluminum scales. Oh also while AUS8 is ok (and definately better than AUS6), I'd prefer a better steel, plus something besides the bead-blast finish.

All in all, a good deal.

Check out SMKW! (Decided to say it twice since I've never submitted such a short reply.)

My Mirage GG served well as my EDC folder for several months before my custom craze. Light, smooth opening and locks up precisely. A really great buy for the money. Nice, sleek design too.

My only beef with it is that the blade hits the backspacer when closed, dulling the edge. I solved it by stripping the knife and sanding the backspacer down. I've heard nothing but praise from some other folks who also own this knife so it may just be bad luck. See if you can handle one before you buy or ask the dealer to check for you before he ships it.
