Hi, this is my first thread or whatever on any forum ever, so I guess I was basically a forum virgin until now. :o

CR2903_xlarge_9515_large_88.jpg

Blade: Length: 3.875" (98 mm)
Thickness: 0.15" (3.8 mm)
Steel: AUS 8, 58-59 HRC
Closed: Handle length: 5.0" (127 mm)
Open: Overall length: 8.75" (222 mm)
Weight: 5.8 oz. (164 g)

Anyways, I really want the Hissatsu because I don't have a tanto in my collection and I thought it would be a really badass tanto to have. I know it was designed with self defense in mind, but I'm really considering it for EDC because it's not like the Americanized tanto. Thoughts? Opinions? Suggestions?

kazera welcome to the forum, & thanks for a good pic. i've had this model since it was introduced & even edcd it for a while. positive nuances are strong, reliable & well constructed. negatives for myself : heavy, limited daily use due to blade shape but the most negative factor is the aggressive appearance. this knife would certainly be met with shock & awe when opened in public. in iraq or alaska no biggie but in most public scenarios it would generate gasps. the blade is designed with defensive use foremost & admittely most edc usage is simple cutting. however i endorse your freedom to carry any knife you desire.

Welcome!
I just got a H2 and I ordered a Hissatsu.
You will love this folder.
I am going to have my Hissatsu lightened up though. Then, it'll be perfect. ;)
