My CRKT hissatsu's tip broke from being dropped from a great height. I havn't owned the knife long and was wondering if CRKT would be able to replace it or maybe sell me a replacement blade. (even though they say they don't cover broken tips almost every company says that)

You'll have to call them. The specific circumstances will dictate whether or not you get anything replaced, unless CRKT has a never replace broken tip policy or something

They have great customer service and do all they can for you, BUT that kinda sounds like 'customer abuse'. I mean, dropping a knife tip down from a 'great height'? WTF were you thinking? Do you expect your car mfg to replace your car if you hit a wall at excessive, too?

Yeah, I'm sure he meant to drop his knife off a 20 story building. Come on

I'm sure than CRKT will do what they can to help you out. It may cost a little bit of money though.
It sounds like you're a big fan of this knife. Have you considered picking up another as a back up?

I would just write and call them, explain the situation, and they should be able to help in some way.
If not, have it professionally sharpened to the point where the tip is fixed(there are people/places that can do that).

And it's not like the guy meant to drop his knife. I've dropped knives before as I'm sure several other people have.
He accidentally dropped his knife, is upset about it, and wants advice. That's what we're here for. :D

Hope everything get's worked out for you!

Thanks for the advice everyone , ive emailed CRKT and am awaiting response and i have read many things with other brands that have limited lifetime warranties that do not cover misuse but replace it anyways. I would love for that to happen but would not mind paying for a new blade or sharpening..Its really the very tip that is missing nothing too too serious i guess but it is still very devastating.
