Hi All,

I had a CRKT Hisshou damaged in shipment to a buyer. Minor (I think) bent tip.
Buyer has been very cool about it, so I want to help if I can.

Buyer is in the Palm Springs FL area, so I wanted to see if anyone might know a maker in the general area that we might contact about repairing this.

Thanks in advance for any leads.

A Columbia River knife and tool?
Yes, but I'm not sure it covers this as it seems limited. Current owner now isn't original owner & this isn't workmanship damage. Not sure it'll qualify, but I do plan to suggest the new owner contact CRKT & see if they'll repair for $$.

Did you have some insights or suggestions?

Thx

contact crkt and see if they have any parts as in blades available to replace it for that model. if not look for a lower cost donor model of the knife to use the blade from it, to replace the bent tip blade. lastly, contact a tradesmen here, to do a reshaping/regrind of the blade to eliminate the bent tip. if it's not a lot of the tip and length they should be able to do it without losing a lot of the length. not much else can be done......

Thanks. All good. From what I can see in a photo from the buyer it's a very small area...just the very tip. Probably not worth the cost of replacing the blade, though I've no idea what might be a involved is saving it in place. As mentioned, the buyer isn't out of shape abt it. I think a good bladesmith can fix it w/o much problem.

Sorry, no. Most CRKT wouldn’t be worth repairing so I was curious about this one. It looks nicer than their usual fare. It sounds like the damage would sharpen out, maybe.
