Nope I am not giving it away but I did recieve this knife from my brother in law over the weekend. NIB. It seems he works with a fella that is a large collector of mostly custom stuff and rare knives. That fella gave my brother in law several of these to do with as he wishes. I recieved the last one. He gave most of them out to customers for his side business and a few of his club brothers.

Don't know much about this knife other than it is a CRKT liner locking folder. It is a 50/50 edge and is razor sharp. Sharp as any knife I have had out of the box. The thing doesn't fail the spine whack test at all even when hitting it out towards the tip. The grind lines are dead nuts on and the finish is really top notch. Has a good distal taper to a fine neeedle sharp clip point and thumb serrations cut on top of the blade for thumb purchase. It is called the IKE in very nicely understated small letters on the blade on the right side. Very crisp and clear. Don't know what the steel is but am assuming it is AUS6M( for modified). I have been impressed with CRKT quality before but this is I think way nicer than my M18 which I thought was put together very well. Nicer than the first one I ownedfor sure.

Anyways it has held up rather well to the cutting board(still pops hair and I cut up alot of chicken breasts with it) as we had a large barbecue this past weekend for guests of my sons and daughters graduation from college and high school. Anyone else own one of these? The quality and smoothness of operation is surprising. It doesn't have the LAWKS thing too which I find rather nice and it just presents a cleaner look. Keep'em sharp

The IKE is one of the CRKT Commander series which have been discontinued for about a year now. The handles are a cast zinc alloy which are very light but strong. The blade is AUS-6M (for molybdenum) and like many other CRKT blades takes a razor edge but you'll probably have to sharpen it more often than say a blade of ATS-34. My ACE was a very stout little liner lock and put up with some major abuse before I passed it on to my cousin who was desperately in need of a knife that the handle wouldn't rust.
Take care,
Matt

I had the Red Dog, another in the series. I would not consider the zinc alloy to be light by any stretch, except maybe vs. a solid steel handle. Much heavier than zytel or G10. That was the reason I got rid of mine.
