As you can see, the knife I received has different logos than any other fossil I've seen. Theres even a logo on the clip which shouldn't be there.
I noticed scratches on the blade when I got it, as well.

What do you think?

The "CRKT" logo on your knife appears to be the same as the one used at the top of every page on their web site, so you likely have a more recently manufactured one. The Fossil pictured in the web site seems to have an older logo and CRKT simply hasn't bothered or seen the need to update the product photos. If you're still concerned, you can contact CRKT and direct them to this thread's photos.

They did change their logo since the Fossil was initially released, so that shouldn't be a red flag.

Seems legit to me. How is it performing?

Truth be told, I've been eyeballing that knife for a month or two.

I agree; despite owning too many knives already the Fossil has a weird allure to it...

You know exactly what I mean. I've actually played with one at a local shop. Flips extremely well with that IKBS.

Just not sure if I'd go small or large for this one.

Is it too much to hope this is a middle-of-the-road kinda knife? Looks good enough to be quite pricey.

I had one. Honestly the scratches on the blade are very very common on these. China is getting better but many times even when their finishin skills are perfect they screw up in final assembly. I have yet to see a CRKT satin blade from china that was free of hair line scratches at certain angles and lighting.

That's probably a fair point.

The Eraser I have came with a perfect finish but, I think it's a Taiwanese model.

I just wanted to hop on and say this thread saved me some stress and to thank everyone for the great information. I just recently purchased a Ikoma Fossil 5471K and noticed the same thing the the original poster was worried about, I thought that I was unlucky enough to get a fake CRKT knife but after reading this thread I'm sure its not a fake. I absolutely love this knife.

Its legit I'd say. The Foresights have the same deal. I bought a First Production model, my mother and father each purchased one of the newer models of Foresights, New logos and new logo placement on the new models. Nothing to be worried about
