Seeing it on sale, I was quick to purchase a brand new Kangee tactical tomahawk.

What I didn't realize at the time of purchase, however, is that the sheath doesn't lend itself to wearing on the belt. That's a bit of a problem for me.

For those that can, and do, EDC a tomahawk, is there a way to go about actually doing such? Is there a particular rigging method for carrying it about, either dedicated or improvised?

I believe that they sell a separate sheath and Tomahawks can be carried in a belt loop that should be pretty easy to find. It will still need a mask or sheath though.

Going by their site, it looks like the sheath is only for the woods series of tomahawks, not the tactical line.

I had it mixed up with the Woods chogan. I have a Little Bird and Shrike with Rubber loops to pass through a belt. Both have similar Kydex sheaths and I have taken the Shrike camping and on a hike and it carried alright.

Just remove the harness and pick up some nylon webbing and cams/buckles at your local sporting goods store. Loop them up and through and fasten them on the inside of the sheath.

RMJ makes a rubber strap that might fit but they are $30

I've got something temporary rigged up until a more permanent solution can be found. It's a couple of 1/8" quick links just long enough to slide over a belt, tied together by five inches of cobra stitched paracord. At the moment it seems to be working.

This hawk works well being carried under the left arm, spike out. You can buy some MOC rings from RMJ to attach and get a nice shoulder strap from any luggage set and work it that way or instead of buying the rings you could tie some paracord loops for the same effect.

RMJ has straps too if you want to belt carry.

Good luck and have fun!
