Bit of artistic indulgence....

always wanted an opportunity to do a black-on-black photo.
Courtesy of CRKT - the Ken Onion Foresight is an IKBS flipper, that's pretty substantial -

compared to a standard 91mm SAK (Victorinox Spartan)

So how big is big?

compared to one of the biggest folder I have the Ken Warner BGG - Folding Hunting Knife (link to review)

Looking at it two dimensionally the Foresight may look bigger, in that it is longer -
BUT -

it's the big fat handle of the Ken Warner BGG - Folding Hunting Knife that sets it apart -
the Foresight has a more proportionally sized handle.
Also shown at bottom is the original all steel CRKT Ken Onion Ripple (link to review)
The Foresight handle is aluminum with prominent finger grooves -
which makes the knife very distinctive and good looking -
those sloping grooves make the look -
but have you ever closed your hands over such grooves?
They don't really conform to the fingers - they are too sloping -
so although they are purported to be functional (they are to an extent)
they do not really fit well (at least) to my fingers -
so really they serve for looks (as well).
The pocket clip looks small - but the way it's shaped it does clip the knife quite securely -
especially on pockets with reinforced/thickened edges like jeans.
Of course being all black the foresight reminded me of one of Ken Onion's first factory collaborations with Kershaw
(when CRKT's Doug Flagg was at Kershaw) - the Kershaw Ken Onion Blackout -

and the Foresight compared to some more normal sized knives -

Top: Harnds CK6015 Viper (link to review)
Bottom: original all steel CRKT Ken Onion Ripple (link to review)
The Foresight has a very pronounced recurve blade of black titanium nitride coated AUS-8 @ 58-59HRc
Despite the large blade the IKBS flipper opens very easily with a good snap -
It is a liner lock -

lock-up is very good.
Overall this is a very good (looking) larger tactical styled knife
the small but deep pocket clip, actually makes it a quite discrete carry -
except being so substantial one'll probably be very aware of it in the pocket.
