A. G. Russell has been selling it for a few months, and I'm really tempted.

Anyone heard much about it? It looks like it should cost way more than the going price.

I'm considering it for EDC in place of a folder. I tend to carry fairly large folders a good portion of the time, so size in use is not a problem, but I prefer pocket carry, when available, or horizontally in a sheath. At 8" overall, does anyone think it could be easily carried in a pocket? The sheath looks like a pancake style sheath with slots for the belt, but it's canted at a strange angle.

Would this one be carried at the small of the back? Cross-draw on left hip?

Any thoughts on this knife would be appreciated.

If the Moderators think this should be over in Reviews, let me know. I just figured there'd be more traffic here.

Thanks,

CRKT is coming out with a more economical version soon. Same blade steel (for sure) and sheath (I believe), but a synthetic handle. Just thought I'd let ya' know. Been lookin' at getting one myself.

you are correct! It is out now!

I've looked at this knife, Limited Edition version, several times and also am tempted to pull the trigger on one. That handle looks so comfortable, and the blade shape looks like it would make this a great edc knife for a fixed blade. So many knives to choose from.............

I have the production version - EXCELLENT KNIFE! I wish I would have fooun the Ltd Ed version first, but the other version is great with the synthetic grip. Great Onion design!

I was looking at one at a gunshow recently. It's really thin and seems like it would be a wicked little cutter/skinner. It's not often you see D2 in knives that thin( Bohler 110). It's small but it's got a very good price and should do the job well. The handle was surprisingly comfortable for it's size.

I finally picked one up. It's definitely more knife, in quality, than the price would imply. I'd say it's value is more like $150-175. I got the Limited Edition with Micarta, for $110, shipped. The fit and finish is outstanding. It has no marks identifying it as "Made in China" if that makes a difference to anyone. I'll post a mini review over in the Review and Testing forum.

Definitely worth the price!

Thanks for the input,

I'm assuming it still is. It just doesn't advertise that fact. I guess if you'd be embarrassed by the "Made in China" designation when showing it to your friends, you will be safe from that. It could also be one of those opportunities to show that quality can come from there, and surprise folks. It depends on your views on things, how you want to spin it.

Either way, I'm happy with the quality. Really, more knife than I paid for.

While we're on this topic, what are the laws regarding place of origin on knives or for that matter any product? Anyone have any insight?

Hi@all :-)

Anyone uses that knive as EDC? (I mean the big production version, not the ltd, ;-) )

How is to cut normal things (likes paper, cheese, sausages and so on...)...
