I am new here and new to knives. At this point I have four knives which I think are awesome:MT LCC/DA
MT UDT 2000

CRKT KISS
I've seen alot of talk about the first three, but little about the last. I love this little, inexpensive knife. It is light, unintimidating, sharp as hell despite much use (pretty good for aus-6), opens in a flash, and has zero blade play. I wanted to know what people thought about it and if they had thoughts on other CRKT knives. Thanks!

So far I have liked every CRKT knife I've seen. I just ordered a Ryan model 7 and can't wait until it arrives. Good quality knives at very reasonable prices.

CRKT is very well liked here, except by some steel snobs.

They are known as an entry to mid level maker with above average quality for the price. They are actually my favorite make right now. I have never held a KISS, but I generally don't like chisel edges, and I sharpen both sides. Sharpening the smooth side of a KISS is probably a good way to get 'bit'.

I had one and it was a great little knife. I upgraded to the 24k version and love it to. Gave my old one to my wife to use at work...she likes it alot, says it comes in handy cutting open boxes...at least it got her to stop using her Spyderco necklace knife for that job.

Sorry about the double post...network at work is running really slow...must be lunch time...

I still carry mine as a money clip but I don't trust the lock any longer.

When the knife is held firmly in a Saber Grip the Index Finger tends to disengage the lock.

This can be overcome by using a Hammer grip but I have to remember to do it different.

Call me a snob, but you can keep the Age Hardened Cheese, thank you very much.

I'm a CRKT fan. Most of my knives are from them, tho I'm branching into Spyderco via a couple recent buys not yet complete.

The first decent knife I bought was a CS Scimitar. Absolutely unable to open it one handed, so stiff. Sent it back. Dealer went into mind fart phase on me, so finally got my money back from him and bought M16-14. Loved it. On to Mirages, KFFs, Apache, PECK, Stiff KISS, LUS, Tighe Tac. Can't wait for the Polkowski/Kasper Companion. Also intend to get the new Bladelock soon. Still want to get an S-2, but since I want a REKAT Carnivore real bad, don't know just when I'll get to that. Going to hold off on the Ryan, I believe. Handle looks ridiculous IMO. All very good knives for the money, maybe at any price. I'm not a heavy user of knives, so the stainless quality of AUS6 is more important to me than whether I sharpen it every 2 years or every 3 years.
