Help!!!

Anyone have one of these? I'm newish to knives and am little puzzled by the edge... it sort of tapers from a V at the tip to a one-sided edge at the belly of the blade.

How should I go about sharpening this sort of edge? the tools I'm using are a medium stone and an ez-lap diamond extra fine pocket sharpener for finishing.

thanks in advance to any kind souls who respond!
:D

One of the best knives I own! Good edge built like a tank. CRKT customer service needs help.

Cheeseknife, welcome to BFC.
Sharpen the blade by matching the angle on the ground side of the edge. When you get a burr, put the non-ground side as flat as you can, and try to remove the burr.
I have the non serrated version, and it has a regular edge. Personally I prefer the regular edge than the chisel edge. My other M16 (Tanto) tends to swerve when it cuts.

While you could certainly ruin it while sharpening the blade, that coating is very durable - much more so than the usual Teflon job.

What SIFU1A said. Just leave the edge bare and don't worry if the tape contacts the stone. It'll wear off.
