Crkt Liner Failure

I Have A Crkt M16-o4z Tanto Folder. It Was Laying In My Glove Compartment Safe & Sound.when I Took It Out To Use It I Found Out That The Liner No Longer Reached Far Enough Into The Back Of The Blade To Hold It Without Significant Give. I Never Have Experienced This Before On Any Knife. Any Ideas About What Happened Or How To Fix It?if I Rebend The Liner Will It Lose Its Temper Further? 2worlds

I've never seen that happen on any liner-lock.
I would think that it is definitely something that should be covered by the manufacturer's warranty.

Like Rowdy said, send it back.
