I am thinking of getting one of these and I was curious if anyone had the chance to compare the spearpoint to the tanto. Also is the tanto chisel ground (one side only)?

I have had both the small tanto and the spear point. I like the small tanto alot better. It is easier to open and close and is a good carry blade. I have had no problems with either knife.

Thanks for the answer....I guess we posted at the same time. What are some of the reasons that you like the tanto better?

Hi,

I bought the large model about a month ago, the M16-04. Its the tanto style blade, and to answer your question, its hollow ground.

Very nice knife IMHO. Good solid lockup, handle feels GREAT in my large hand, and the blade was super sharp right out of the box. Excellent value for the money as well. If you ask me, you can't go wrong here.

Justin's right the tanto is ground on both sides. The one I got was also one of the sharpest blades I've seen out of the box.As for the edge holding up,I have'nt used mine yet.
