So Im thinking about getting either the M16-14DSFG or the M21-14DSFG to match my smaller M16-13DSFG. However I cannot decide between the two.
Are the differences really only the blade point? (M16 being tanto and M21 being spear point)

If you could choose one, which one would it be?

thanks guys :) new here and a new knife enthusiast as well!

I'm moving this to the General Knife Discussion Forum.

I have the m21-14 dsfg. I just don't like tanto tips. It's very sharp and easy to keep that way, with a quite wide hollow grind on the big belly. The only gripe I had about it is the double flippers. It's a pain to edc with the flippers taking up too much space in the pocket as this is a big knife, although quite slim and with beefy liners. I decided that the top flipper, along with the auto lawks (it's quite tricky to close, and not necessarily needed if you don't have the bad habit of hard flicking) had to go. Now it's a real good edc, at least for me.

I love the m21 series and is probably what i'd get. It's up to you what blade shape you like better since their both fairly different.

CRKT is such an awesome company, and pretty underrated.

for edc def go for M21. I've totally lost my like of tantos and reprofiled my M16 from tanto into spear point

I have the M16-14D but I would also say get the M21. Bellies are nice... tantos can annoy me, and I have two.

I have the M21 and I like it. I just don't like sharpening tantos. But u can always buy both and then trade the one you don't like.
