Crkt M16

id say get an m21. basically the same functions as the m16 except with a recurved blade. i own one and i compared it to my friend's m16. not trying to be biased or anything but it looked and felt like the m21 was built a lot better and is quite noticably smoother. looks better too. as for blade steel id stick with something with aus 8. its actually a pretty decent steel. that means dont get any of the zytel models ;)

I have three M16-14 Big Dog’s and one M16-13 Special Forces. I have a regular gray aluminum without the LAWKS, the M16-14 SRT Law Enforcement and the M16-14 Special Forces.

At one time or another I have used all of these as an EDC and they all are very nice for the money. Once I became used to the hilt on the M16-14SF I grew very fond of it (I never have to worry about my hand slipping onto the blade).

I believe that in the M16 line all of the aluminum handle models come with AUS 8 steel. A lot of the M16’s come with a black titanium nitride coating corrosion resistance.

For the money I think it would be hard to go wrong with any of them but I would go with a model that has the Lake and Walker Knife Safety (LAWKS).

M-21. Chose the length blade you like and "pull the trigger". You'll love it!

I have an M16-13 (aluminum handle, combo spear point). For EDC its a nice balance of size and function.
